365 Days of GIFs, Day 8: Amanda Freitag Shouts! [Chopped]

I love cooking shows like Top Chef, Masterchef, and Chopped. This hasn’t made me a foodie or gourmand (though it should have), I just enjoy the craft and creativity in putting together a beautiful dish under challenging circumstances. Anyway, I’ve been watching Chopped on Hulu and always enjoy it when the judges get worked up over the contestants and what they’re doing, sometimes even freaking out a little as time runs out. Amanda Freitag is the best judge in that regard, along with Aaron Sanchez and Alex Guarnaschelli. So here’s a clip showing Amanda having fun!

Playing Through What Remains Of Edith Finch

Here are both parts of my playthrough of the game What Remains Of Edith Finch. This is actually the second time I played the game, the first time being way overlong with trial-and-error and some ridiculous floundering with certain sequences. That said, playing it a second time was even more satisfying and enjoyable, and I’ll likely be playing this over and over again for my favorite sequences and to look for new details. It is a remarkable achievement by Giant Sparrow and one of the most emotional experiences I have ever had with any game – with any work of art, actually.

365 Days of GIFs, Day 6: Future Man’s Dynamic Duo

You may have thought I was talking about Tiger and Wolf, the two warriors from the future, but my favorite part of the show was definitely Paul Scheer and Awkwafina as the game store clerks. Futureman was an enjoyable show on its own terms with some very funny sequences – I especially love Wolf’s career as a 1980s underground celebrity chef – and hopefully Hulu will do a second season. Actually, I would love to see spinoff shows of the video game store with just Paul and Awkwafina talking the entire time, or The Further Adventures Of Cory Wolfhart.
